The final day of the Forum, traditionally for «Interra», was marked by several events. In the morning, on the ground in front of Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the innovative projects exhibition began, followed by Siberian Running Festival.
Small hydropower plants for agricultural facilities in Altai, dancing androids from Ufa, geoinformation system for monitoring air pollution from Omsk, new crop processing technology from Buryatia… — the exhibition had a lot to offer. Governor of Novosibirsk Region Victor Tolokonsky also arrived to appreciate the innovations, and right away was presented with a book on Russian commemorative coins, taken for a ride in a «Prology» car and told us about his view of the intermediate results of the Forum.
«Today our priority is comprehensive development of innovative environment. No project should go unnoticed, if it was presented at the Forum. We must support young people, their scientific and creative activity, because thereby we will enhance their self-confidence and confidence of their future, which will be a stimulus for reaching new heights», said Victor Tolokonsky.
While all attending had a chance to get an insight into innovations, the talk of these innovations continued in the Siberian Branch of Sberbank. The agenda of one of the Interra partners was notably diverse: four sections of the seminar discussed issues of small innovative business development, strategies of growing from an innovative project to a business, and economic infrastructure of innovative activity and innovations marketing.
Vice-President of the «Parallels» company Aleksey Kandikov noted the Novosibirsk specific feature: here, we have created a venture fund, business incubators, business centres — parts of the whole. But we still need a global integrator, finding which is the major task. Evgeniy Pluzhnik, general director of Moscow Business School, believes that to become Russia’s San Francisco, our city needs a system of innovative projects financing, and it is not only a problem of Novosibirsk, it is common for the whole country. «This August, we interviewed 750 managers of various companies; we found that more than half of them don’t believe in Russian venture financing o rthe state initiatives. The alternative is searching for private investors, including the West». One of the main thoughts discussions: creating a project, you must immediately aim at the global market, as the world does not stand still. While now only San Francisco can be considered a real centre of innovation, in less than ten years there will be some more innovation hubs. Some think that the leaders in this field will be South America and Africa.
Gleb Arkhangelskiy’s master class «Time-drive», devoted to time management, gathered quite an audience. How to learn to correctly plan your own work and personal time? According to the expert, the technology is simple: instead of thousands of reminders in the form of post-it notes on the computer screen and e-mails to yourself, you need decide what is important to you on a certain day. «First, you should plan only urgent meetings, and leave about 40 percent of the time free. Secondly, the things you could but don’t have to do today. This is the algorithm of fixed and flexible planning». Context planning differs in that it is necessary to consider good moments for something: «The ancient Greeks called this moment „kairos“. This is the time when a new law is passed, when a customer in a good mood, when it a good time to ask for promotion… It is good to call a page in your organiser „People“, or „Places“, and put down such „kairos“ there. That would make our life much easier», considers Arkhangelskiy.
The culmination of the business programme in Sberbank was signing agreements between investors and innovative project teams.
